Sean Spencer                           

  

Sean is a resident of the western suburbs of Melbourne, father, and a community advocate associated with several resident advocacy groups.

  

He is a senior manager in the disability services sector with a professional background as a registered nurse.

  

Sean Spencer has led, and been active in, community campaigns addressing key issues such as confronting racism and racist violence, improved police resources and safer streets, improved public transport, ending entrenched neglect of the western suburbs of Melbourne, corruption in local government, and the need to build social infrastructure that helps improve community outcomes.

  

Sean was a part of the successful campaign to restore the Sunshine Outdoor Pool complex and the effort to sack the scandal-plagued Brimbank Council. He has a track record in human rights advocacy with groups such as the Australia Tibet Council and Amnesty International.

  

He is currently leading the Save Sunvale action that is aiming to deliver a community park and youth precinct in Melbourne’s middle-western suburbs.
